General settings

The General Settings page provides a space for users to customize and manage project-specific configurations. This page is divided into two main sections: System Preferences and Device Visualization.

System Preferences

In the System Preferences section, users can define global settings for how data is displayed across the entire MyMove platform. This involves choosing preferred units of measurement for various types of sensor data, ensuring that the information is shown in a format that best suits the project.

These preferences apply universally across all dashboards and visualizations in MyMove, offering a consistent and user-defined view of your monitoring data.

Device Visualization

The Device Visualization section enhances spatial understanding of your monitoring system by allowing users to upload images of the monitored structure—such as photos, technical drawings, or schematics. Sensor icons can then be placed on the image, providing a clear visual representation of sensor locations. This makes it easier to reference data and navigate complex projects. Particularly useful for large or intricate structures like bridges or buildings, this feature streamlines sensor selection and offers immediate visual context for better analysis and decision-making.

This spatial view is not limited to the General Settings page. Once configured, the image and sensor placement will be visible on several other key pages of the platform, such as the Dashboard, Data Explorer, and Devices pages.
