# Notifications

In the Notifications section of the Settings panel in MyMove, administrators can configure alarm email recipients for each project.

Users can add external contacts by entering a Contact Name and a Contact Email, enabling those individuals to receive automated alarm notifications via email. For each listed contact, the administrator can define preferences by selecting which sensor types will trigger notifications. Available sensor types include:

* Dynamic Displacement Sensor
* Accelerometer
* Vibrometer
* Tiltmeter
* Communication Node

Whenever a threshold is exceeded (as previously configured in the Devices Settings), an email alert will be sent to the selected contacts according to their preferences.

Each contact entry also includes a Status control, allowing users to toggle between Active and Paused, effectively enabling or disabling the delivery of alarm notifications without deleting the contact.

***

This feature is essential for ensuring that the appropriate stakeholders are notified in real time when critical events are detected by the monitoring system.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://move-solutions.gitbook.io/untitled/mymove-manual/settings/notifications.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
